Channel misuse refers to any behavior that disrupts the intended purpose, flow, or accessibility of a Discord channel. This rule ensures that channels remain organized, on-topic, and functional for all users, fostering a positive and efficient environment.
Channel misuse includes, but is not limited to:
Off-topic conversations: Examples such as using #manga_talk to leave suggestions for the game. Speaking English in the Spanish channel, etc.
Forums: Using bug reports, suggestions or the questions forum for anything outside their intended purpose.
Bot commands: Using bot commands in any other channel than #bot-commands. Exceptions are for moderators to resolve issues quickly when needed.
Punishment: Verbal Warning → Warning→ Mute (30m) → Mute (60m) → Mute (90m) → Ban (1 day)
Advertising of Roblox groups, Discord servers or any other form of product/service is forbidden. Below are the punishments for the types of advertising:
Regular Advertising: Mute (60m) → Kick → Permanent Ban
DM advertising: Kick → Permanent Ban
Advertising NSFW/Controversial/Malicious Content: Permanent Ban
Notes
The only exception to this rule is advertising Discord servers or Roblox games that are directly affiliated with Bulk Games. (e.g. Area-47)
When a user uses text in a manner to bypass our filter and imply certain words or phrases without typing them fully. Example:
"Ni####"
"Yuri Tarded"
These messages cut off parts of the text or spell them differently to bypass our system and imply the full words or phrases. Other chat when spoken out loud fall make you say a certain thing (slurs, sexual meaning) under this rule too.
This includes Spoiler Baiting as well. Example: N||ice ca||r, in Discord it wouldn't show the "ice ca" part and would appear like a censored N-word until clicked on revealing the "ice ca" part of the message.
Punishment: Warning → Mute (30) → Mute (90) → Ban (1 day) → Ban (3 days)
Disruptive behaviors intends to prevent and handle users who Intentional or repeatedly bring up controversial, political, sensitive or otherwise upsetting topics that delve chat into chaos.
This rule does not include talking about certain topics in a respectful manner, should certain topics be discussed it should be in a respectful manner, this is the only time it'll be acceptable. It becomes an issue when people intentionally poke fun at specific topics that are often sensitive to people, a group, or anything similar.
Some examples may include, but are not limited to:
User A brings up a subject which is very controversial with the public opinion being that the person involved in the controversy is an absolute awful person. User A starts the conversation with " Well XYZ person and their controversy is stupid, it's all bullshit and fake proof and any of you who believe it are idiots "
A user brings up a tragedy that happened in a country, They sit and make a joke about said tragedy saying " Lol this country was founded in 1265, just like the amount of bodies from the 1942 incident "
Punishment: Warning → Mute (30m) → Mute (60m) → Mute (120m) → Ban (3 days) → Ban (7 days)
Ignoring any valid requests from a Discord Moderator is disallowed and can be met with punishments. Examples of valid requests can be but not limited to:
Requesting users to stop continuing an argument
Requesting users to move to a different channel
Punishment: Warning → Mute (30m) → Mute (60m) → Ban (1 day) → Ban (3 days)
Note: If you believe a moderator is requesting unjustifiable requests, consult the opinion of a second moderator or ask a member of Management.
Short Term Accumulation of Infractions
If someone racks up around 4 infractions in less than 12 hours, that’s a pretty good sign they’re not here to actually follow the rules. At that point, it can lead to a ban.
When you get multiple infractions in a short time, it shows you do know what you’re doing wrong; you’re just choosing to keep causing problems. A lot of people try to loophole around punishments by being obnoxious. That doesn’t work here. If your behavior keeps disrupting the community, moderators will step in.
Punishment: Ban (3 days) → Ban (14 days) → Permanent Ban
Accumulation of Infractions (10):
If a user manages to accumulate 10 infractions on their record, they should be banned from the server. Users are allowed to appeal this by appealing two of the infractions leading up to it. After this, the amount of infractions required for another Accumulation of Infractions ban should be raised to 15.
Punishment: Permanent Ban with appeal
Accumulation of Infractions (15):
If a user manages to accumulate 15 infractions on their record, they will be permanently banned from the server without appeal. Users who reach this point are fully aware of their actions and are not permitted to appeal.
Punishment: Permanent Ban without appeal
Suspicious Accounts:
If an account which has evidently been created for use within the server with malicious intent (e.g. joins the server with a brand new account and shows odd behaviors), then they are deemed as being a "Suspicious account". If the account attempts to rejoin after being kicked twice, you must ban them. This prevents the danger of raids and alt evasion. Which violates discord ToS.
Please note that accounts that are new or suspicious for other reasons but show they are engaging with the community are allowed to stay as long as they do not seem to have malicious intentions. Users who immediately verify are also exempt from this rule. (e.g an account joins and is brand new but chats with users).
Punishment: Kick → Permanent Ban
Punishment:
The ticket system has been added for AOTT players and moderators to use. This is to report players who are breaking the rules in the Discord server. However some users tend to think it's funny to abuse this feature.
Opening 2+ tickets is disallowed due to tickets pinging moderators each time a ticket is made which results in spam pinging the entirety of both moderation teams.
Verbal abuse and disrespect inside of tickets towards a moderator is disallowed.
Due to Discord issues, opening a ticket will allow the user to speak in the ticket, this also includes muted users. Bypassing a mute in a ticket is not allowed and results in punishment. You may however still open a ticket while muted if the ticket is valid.
Opening troll tickets is disallowed as this will waste the time of the moderation staff and ping them unnecessarily.
Punishment: Verbal Warning → Warning → Temporary Ticket Blacklist

Minor Slur Usage: Warn → Mute (60m) → Mute (120m) → Mute (180m) → Permanent Ban

Heavy Slur Usage: Mute (90m) → Mute (120m) → Mute (180) → Mute (240m) → Permanent Ban
Under this falls words that are considered slurs and are often said to cause harm.

Additional Information

The word must not be the main focus, if it is heard during the media but is clearly not the main focus it is allowed.
The word must be censored if it is in the title of a song or in the lyrics of it.
The word must not be used excessively. (once every 50 seconds)
Harassment is repeated annoyance or toxicity or towards another person, whether in DMs or in the server.
Harassment in DMs may only be moderated if the incident is related to actions in the AOTT server, if it is extremely severe, or if it is done towards a game or Discord moderator.

Additional Information:
The person experiencing harassment must have made an clear and obvious effort to make the harassment stop.
Before reporting, please try to gather all the context for evidence.
NSFW ("Not Safe For Work") content is material that should not be viewed by those below the age of 18 and should hence not be posted within the server. Under this rule fall 3 categories: pornography (Media containing sexual actions/interactions), nudity (Display of genitals/nakedness from a person) and gore (Display of blood/other bodily fluids, flesh, organs, corpses or any other extremist violent act/content such as stabbing, gunshots, etc.)
Mild NSFW references: Warn → Mute (60m) → Mute (120m) → Permanent Ban
Under this fall "filter-safe" media such as cropped/censored images and light infractions that aren't detailed or severe enough to fall under heavy NSFW references.
Heavy NSFW references: Mute (90m) → Mute (180m) → Permanent Ban
Under this fall greatly-detailed content without it being shown via media, usually encompasses references about sexual interactions with other people (Ex: Telling someone you will "rape them"/"such them off"). It is often clear when someone does this.
Pure NSFW: Permanent Ban
Any image/video/media containing NSFW content from the categories listed at the top of the rule in its "pure" form should result in an immediate ban (Eg: Someone sending straight up pornography in a chat).
NSFW Audios/Streaming (VC Violations): Mute (60m) → Mute (120m) → Permanent Ban
Violations committed in a VC follow a different hierarchy, however, extreme violations will result in an immediate ban like in the pure form hierarchy. (Eg: Someone streaming nudity/pornography in a vocal channel).
Additional Information:
Any type of NSFW content that involves/revolves around minors should be moderated under Discord ToS.
Minor cuts and scraps don't fall under gore (As it encompasses blood/flesh/serious injuries).
Messages containing commonly used NSFW words without NSFW intention aren't to be moderated (Eg: "You're a dick" "He's such a pussy").
Ban or mute evading is strictly prohibited. In the case someone evades a punishment, the following hierarchies will be used.
Mute Evasion: Ban (3 days) → Permanent Ban
Users might join the server on an alternative account to bypass a mute.
Ban Evasion: Permanent Ban
Users might join the server on an alternative account to bypass a ban.
While users may discuss things that are private to them or are not widely known, it is critical that no discussion is related to any Sensitive topics for both that individual or Bulk Games. Regardless whether it is past, present, or pending, it is not allowed.
This rule is considered to be of high importance due to the potential negative and toxic effects that could result if details and information that people should not have/know, someone's personal life, or cases are disclosed to the public. It is common for people to have friends in the server, and if any details are discussed, things can deteriorate quickly as a result.
Punishment: Verbal Warning → Mute (30m) → Mute (60m) → Ban (3 days)
Sensitive topics may include but not limited to:
Information about someone's person life, relation, etc
Real life events (Terrorism, Violent Extremism Content)
QA information such as unreleased content
Discussion of other sensitive information such as ongoing investigations from moderators, moderator information, or other major discussions will follow this hierarchy.
Punishment: Mute (120m) → Mute (180m) → Mute (240m) → Permanent Ban
Playing annoying audio would mean playing sounds/audio or anything that could be annoying and or disrupting to users in a Voice Channel. The following are:
Using an external software to input random annoying/disturbing sounds through the your mic (soundboards)
Using a software to alter or completely change the way you sound through your mic is not allowed (voice changer)
Playing music over the microphone. Unless everyone in said VC agrees to let you play self-made (playing your own guitar, piano, etc) music such as playing the guitar, showing off their instruments and using them, etc.
Having loud background noise
Playing overly high/loud audio (earrape)
Punishment: Verbal Warning → Server Mute → Mute (10m) → Mute (60m) → Ban (3 days)
In specific exceptional circumstances, users may be punished before a violation has taken place in the AOTT server.
For example, should users post gore/nsfw or break critical rules in sister servers (such as Area 47, Area 27, ATDS), they may be punished in the AOTT server following this rule.
Online dating is the act of behaving in a romantic or otherwise indicative manner pertaining to dating.
Users cannot be punished for their personal interactions (in DMs), however, any public “displays of affection” cannot be expressed within our Discord server. This is due to our server being classed as a server with a younger audience than 18, and is therefore strictly prohibited.
Punishment: Verbal Warning → Warning → Mute (30m) → Mute (90m) → Kick → Ban (7 days)
"Gaming the System" (more commonly referred to as "Loopholing") refers to using "flaws" or making drastic assumptions about the rules in order to bypass them. Attempting to bypass anything that is obviously against the rules is punishable.
In summary, users have a set expectation of common sense when it comes to the rules and often try to cause issues with moderation staff or other players.
Users that are Studio Blacklisted/ Studio Banned are disallowed to use any Bulk Games product or asset. This includes all Bulk Games owned Discord Servers, Games, and all other official assets.
In some cases, even without a Studio Blacklist, infractions from another game or server owned by Bulk Games can be transfered over to AOTT.
For any severe infractions from a server outside of Bulk Games, we may also choose to mute or ban you to protect our server. This includes but is not limited to pure gore, content or behavior that violates the law, or raiding.
AOTT Management, Developers, and Official Partners have the discretion to infract players for things outside of these explicitly stated rules.
This is to protect not only our server but also all our other users.
This can be done to prevent loopholing, abusing unforeseen things, or engaging in behavior that, while not explicitly forbidden, clearly goes against the spirit of a positive community environment. This allows us to address emerging issues and maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
If you believe a Management member did not act in good faith, you may report them to the Moderation Lead.
To report the Moderation Lead you may go to Lxuca.
